| Q: Why is on-the-move only in English and in German?
| A:
Because the site had to be developed with a minimum of financial means. English is the first language as it is the language used mostly in the international context. German is the second language because, according to several statistic sources, this is the second language in most of the Central and Eastern European countries. Anyone who is willing to invest into making the site more accessible is encouraged to contact info@on-the-move.org

| Q: How do I write a funding proposal?
| A:
Go to How to and there you will find tips and directions about this and other subjects.
| Q: How can I find partners for Culture2000?
| A:
Go to How to and/or place a call on our News and Announcements page.
| Q: Do the search options in on-the-move work like internet search engines, such as Google?
| A:
Our engine searches only our database, and not the entire content of the sites that we have links to. The reason is that it is not our intention to present to you, for example, all the sites that feature the word "theatre", but to narrow and focus your research according to your needs. Of course you can also try and see if you can find results using a regular internet search engine, but be prepared to receive information in a much less structured way.
| Q: I was looking for funding opportunities, but I didn’t find any. Can on-the-move help me if I send you an e-mail and explain my needs?
| A:
Unfortunately not. Look at on-the-move as a kind of "Yellow Pages Plus"… Not only does it give you links to information, but it also tries to structure the information in such a way that it brings you closer to what you want to know. However, if that is not enough for what you need, we suggest that you contact directly the relevant public or private institutions in your country. They may be able to advise you.
| Q: Can on-the-move give me a travel grant?
| A:
on-the-move ’s aim is to give users information about available grants, but it has no access to funds to help you.
| Q: Will my search in the on-the-move database take me to the precise page I need on the site of an organisation?
| A:
In most of the cases it won’t. The links on-the-move features bring you to the starting pages of most of the sites, and you have to explore from there. The reason is that the way sites are constructed often changes and the specific page you need may have received a different name or place on the site.
| Q: My next performance will open soon. Can I send information about the exact dates and venues to be published on your NEWS AND ANNOUNCEMENTS page?
| A:
No. Go to the "News and Announcements" page and get acquainted with our editorial policy.
| Q: I am looking for a job in the cultural sector in another country. Can I send you my CV for publication on the site?
| A:
No, on-the-move does not offer this service. Go to the "How to" page, where you will find sites where you can post your CV.
