CALL FOR ARTISTS 'Hanging around'

from photo to performing arts

artscenico project, starting with a photo ending up with performance.

For ARTISTS of all kinds who want to be part of the project

• taking photos of people hanging around – either in their social environments or where ever all across the world

• taking photos as the basis of a work of literature, drama, dance, performance-art or theatre

Application Procedure

• Send a “letter of intention” to artscenico@t-online.de together with address etc.
• brief concept
• jury will choose photos for first exhibition in 2006 in Dortmund.
• we will choose photos for transformations
• Decision about photos for exhibition in the Ruhrgebiet in 2007 as part of the
international festival off limits in Dortmund. Presentation of performances and texts based on the photos.

You can be a photographer and author/performer as well, for a story leading to the situation seen on the photo or leading into the future.

If you make interviews about their “hanging around” with the people you take photos of, those are basis for transformation.
