Posted: 14-11-2006

New Moves International invites artists working in Live Art and related practices to take part in its fifth Winter School, a series of professional skills development projects. Five one-week courses will be held at Tramway in Glasgow, led by international practitioners.

New Moves International are pleased to announce the 2007 Winter School programme. Please see current programme to view the courses.

Registration fees are non-refundable. Please be sure you are registering for the most appropriate course for your needs and know a little about the mentor, where possible we have included their website addresses. It is not advisable to attempt two courses in a row due to the intensity of the work undertaken.

The Winter School is an annual programme of professional skills development and research projects open to artists working in live art and related practises.

These opportunities are open to both emergent and experienced practitioners, to independent artists and students in tertiary education.

The Winter Schools offer a natural development to the work originally undertaken by the New Moves Choreographic Core by extending its educational activities across all artforms. The opportunity to work with professional artists in a learning situation, alongside experiencing their performance work, is rare and much valued by the Winter School participants and significantly contributes to a programme that wishes to embody more than just public performances.
