TRAFORMA – art and sustainable city Creation Contest is looking for artistic projects bringing out the sense of social responsibility of art in an original and innovative way and in a perspective of sustainable development.

CREATION CONTEST 2007 / 08

TRAFORMA – art and sustainable city is an INTERREG/CARDS-PHARE project dedicated to the perspectives of contemporary art considered as an instrument of sustainable valorization of the territory, critically dealing with topics as regeneration of the territory, enterprise’s social responsibility, territorial identity, intercultural dialogue and urban ecology.

Each winning project will be financed up to € 5’000,00 and will be presented, time permitting, in the context of TRAFORMA – art and sustainable city (Senigallia, April/May, 2008).

An international jury will examine applications.

Rules
1. The Contest is open to all. Those projects that find their expression in the following artistic forms will be privileged: performance, photography, design, installation and video.
2. Projects have to be new. Completed projects will not be accepted.
3. Each project can be presented on two A4 format pages, at most. Each proposal has to include also a detailed production budget and the personal details of the candidate: name, postal and e-mail address, telephone number.
4. Applications can also include archive materials: photos and videos of the formers works, drawings, recordings, dvd, links on web sites.
5. Applications can be written in Italian, English or French only.
6. Projects must be sent by February 15th, 2008 (postal stamp is proof) to: VAPARTEC / TRASFORMA – arte e città sostenibile, Comune di Senigallia - Assessorato alla Cultura, Piazza del Duca 9 - 60019 Senigallia – Italy.
7. Results will be communicated by March 15th, 2008. The jury reserves the right not to comment on its decision.
8. The received applications will not be returned.

The realization of the Contest is submitted to the approval of the state of advance of the project itself by the management authorities of INTERREG program.
