The CultureMap workshop "Mapping and evaluating existing platforms (websites) within the cultural sector aimed at stimulating debate and cross-border exchange of matters concerning European culture" will take place on 19 March, 2pm-4.30 pm in Brussels.

This workshop is intended to present and discuss the results from a pan-European study on mapping and evaluating existing platforms (websites) within the cultural sector aimed at stimulating debate and cross-border exchange of matters concerning European culture.

Prior to the workshop the study team will provide the participants with a draft study report. The report will include a description of the objectives, the methodology used and the results achieved from a survey of almost 400 European websites which are provided online in a highly searchable knowledge base, selected case studies, conclusions and preliminary recommendations.

The objective of the workshop is to share the results and views with the invited experts, receive their comments and views on these but also opinions and advice on how to further develop the report and recommendations.

The workshop addresses in particular representatives from the
- European Cultural Contact Points (CCP)
- Owners, and operators of websites and online platform from the cultural sector and
- European Commission.
