An introduction to theatre today in Central Asia and Afghanistan The Introduction to Theatre Today in Central Asia and Afghanistan results from the common desire of both European and Central Asian professionals to have a more precise overview of theatre activity in the region. It aims at laying the foundations of a network connecting cultural operators from Central Asia and its neighbors (Afghanistan and Iran) with other parts of the world. Published 2005. Crossroads by Mark Deputter March 03 EN • FR • POR November 03

Crossroads is the name of a series of online publications, edited by Mark Deputter, focusing on artistic contacts between Africa and Europe in the area of contemporary dance. The first issues appeared in March and October 2003.

IETM commissioned Judith Staines to write a comparative review of the status of independent arts workers in various European countries. Artists, performing arts professionals and civil servants looking for information on what models exist and where their own country stands, in terms of social protection and tax regimes for artists and cultural operators will find it useful.
