The Künstlerhaus Marktoberdorf is launching its first open call for submissions to enliven the museum’s spaces with an eight-week experimental exhibition and an accompanying programme for visitors in the summer of 2026. This open call seeks to have an external team of artists and/or curators design an exhibition space within the museum to realise a contemporary and experimental art project.
The open call is open to artists from all disciplines who either have curatorial experience or apply as a mixed team (curators and artists). There are no restrictions regarding age or place of residence. Teams or individuals should submit a curatorial concept and an implementation idea that they can realise independently within the museum’s spaces.
All or selected exhibition spaces, as well as the outdoor areas of the Künstlerhaus, may be used.
The programme provides on-site implementation support on-site support for the educational programme by arrangement. Fee, expenses, and production costs: a flat rate of 8,000 EUR including VAT for the selected winning team/individual.
