Ninety Percent of Everything Artistic Research on Maritime Logistics and the Climate Crisis (Italy)

Text of the call with scribbles to one side.

Ninety Percent of Everything is an artistic research project investigating the impact of maritime logistics on the climate crisis. To achieve this, it examines the port as a critical device interconnecting commercial flows, ecological balances, and social and geopolitical dynamics.

The residency will take place from 15 to 30 May 2026, at Palazzo Ducale Genova, within the port and at sea aboard cargo vessels.

Conceived as an intensive programme of situated research and practice, it unfolds in three phases: a preparatory online phase dedicated to data sharing and initial exchanges with the mentors and the curator; an in-person phase in Genoa and at sea; and a subsequent remote production phase leading to the development of the final installation.

The outcomes of the residency will take the form of a multichannel installation at Palazzo Ducale, a performance within the operational port, and a bilingual publication gathering interdisciplinary contributions on the themes addressed.

The project is seeking artist collectives under 35 working in data-driven sound and visual practices. Selected collectives will work closely with mentors within their respective fields, while maintaining an ongoing exchange between sound and visual research trajectories.

Each selected collective will receive a total gross contribution of 4,000 EUR, all-inclusive, intended to cover:

  • artistic research fee;
  • round-trip travel expenses to Genoa;
  • accommodation and subsistence for the entire duration of the residency.

If a single interdisciplinary collective of up to six members is selected, the total gross contribution will amount to 8,000 EUR, also all-inclusive.
