AlmResidency offers 4-5 artists the opportunity to move into its two mountain huts in the Bavarian Alps, Germany,from 25 June to 4 July 2025, to work on their ideas and concepts, and to develop them further. There will be an exhibition in Munich in Spring 2026, where the artistic works will meet their audience.
The application is open to all: old and young, diverse, female and male, individual or collective, regardless of origin and background. Artists or collectives, including their partners and children, are eligible to apply.
This year the theme is ‘Parasite. Human’. The question arises as to when humans lost their awareness of a natural set of rules for co-existence, and how can they regain this awareness. What does it mean to realise that we as humanity are a parasite of planet Earth?
