This scholarship enables cultural practitioners from countries on the DAC list to stay with host institutions. The purpose is to enable scholarship holders to deepen their professional knowledge transnationally, to introduce new perspectives and to build long-term cooperation through exchange. The focal areas are:

State of the ART(ist) is a collaborative initiative by the Austrian Federal Ministry for European and International Affairs and Ars Electronica, dedicated to supporting artists working under existential threat. Whether shaped by political repression, war, digital surveillance, social inequality, or environmental disaster, the initiative responds to the increasingly precarious conditions under which artistic practice takes place in many parts of the world.

The Polygona Kunstverein e.V. invites applications for two artist-in-residence positions as part of the KOBRA Cultural Network’s Passage Art-Residency-Programme in the Wittenberg region, Germany. This four-week residency (October 2026) brings together artists working in photography and film to engage with two distinct research contexts:
