The Kehä Festival, Finland, is inviting proposals of one-to-one artwork for their festivals. One-to-one art means works by one artist presented to only one person at a time. They welcome works from all artfields. Applicants can propose work to the Kehä Festival in Oulu, Finland (held from 30 October to 2 November 2024), to the One-to-one Festival in Lisbon, Portugal (held from 15 to 17 November 2024) or to both. They are looking for three kinds of artworks:

Zodiak – Centre for New Dance in Helsinki is calling for applications for co-productions to premiere in 2025. Zodiak are looking for proposals that incorporate an essential relationship to dance and bodily performance, as well as an idea of how to form an audience relationship.

As part of the European project More-than-Planet, Finnish partner Photo North - Northern Photographic Centre is launching an open call for artists for two residency programmes in 2023 and 2024 at Pyhäsalmi Mine and Oulanka National Park in Finland. The programme aims to re-examine the way people understand and picture the environment on the level of the planet as a conceptual whole. The residency is open to all forms of art but places an emphasis on artistic practices that employ lens-based techniques.

The Research Pavilion is an international and cross-institutional platform for processes, discussions, and collaborations in the field of artistic research, coordinated by Uniarts Helsinki. The Uniarts Research Pavilion (RP#5) will host a series of artist and artist-researcher residencies during spring 2023 and will culminate in an on-location event in June 2023 in Helsinki.

This open call is looking for site-specific projects to be produced in Vadsø during the Varanger festival 9-12 August 2023. The call is open to professional artists or artist groups from Finland or Finnish Lapland, as well as those who may not originally come from these areas, but who identify as northerners by virtue of either living in or having a connection with the north.
