The VI International Meeting of Performing Arts for Early Years ‘Infancia, Territorio de Paz’ in Mexico is currently open for applications. The selected projects will be presented during the VI International Meeting of Performing Arts for Early Years, which will take place from 27 to 31 May 2026 in Tijuana, Baja California, Mexico. Selected works may also be included in a circuit of partner venues in the north-central region of the country from approximately 1 to 10 June 2026.

The meeting is organised by the Colectivo de Teatro en Espiral in co-production with the Centro Cultural Tijuana (CECUT), an institution of the Mexican Ministry of Culture, with the support of the Iberescena Fund. The event is conceived as a space for exchange, creation and training dedicated to performing arts for children aged 0 to 6. For this sixth edition, the curatorial focus is on proposals exploring movement through dance and body-based theatre.

The opportunity is open to professional performing artists and companies from Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Cuba, Ecuador, El Salvador, Spain, Guatemala, Honduras, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Portugal and Uruguay. Applications must be submitted for completed works; projects still in development or school productions are not eligible. Two projects will be selected.

The proposals submitted may travel with a team of up to four participants, including cast and up to one technical support person. The groups or participants must perform two shows, as well as a workshop aimed at stage creators, teaching staff or families with children. The work must be 30–45 minutes.

For each presentation, the companies will receive a fee of 10,345 MXN. In addition, they will receive a payment of 10,345 MXN plus VAT, less any applicable withholdings, for conducting the proposed workshop. The organisers will cover lodging in a shared room, meals, transportation, and one 23kg suitcase for each member of the traveling team.
