Meg Stuart/Damaged Goods is looking for a managing director to join the company from 2026 onwards. Based in Brussels since 1994, Damaged Goods is the working structure of choreographer and artistic director Meg Stuart. The organisation is supported by the Flemish Community and the Flemish Community Commission and operates locally and internationally with a small permanent team and a broad network of freelance artists. Its activities range from creating performances and international touring to research, education, and transdisciplinary practices, with a focus on mentorship, curatorial work, community engagement and the transmission of embodied knowledge.

The managing director will collaborate closely with Meg Stuart and the financial manager to develop and produce projects, from performances to research and education. The role involves co-writing funding applications, supporting artists and collaborators, coordinating planning and budgets, and representing the organisation in Belgium and abroad. The position starts on 1 January 2026.

Applicants should have experience in the Flemish and international arts field, be familiar with the work of Meg Stuart/Damaged Goods, and combine strong organisational and strategic skills with an openness to sustainability and innovation. Multilingualism is required, with sufficient knowledge of Dutch (or a willingness to learn quickly) and English. The offer includes a varied and responsible position in a dynamic working environment, an open-ended contract initially part-time (3/5) growing to full-time, remuneration according to the Collective Labour Agreement for the Performing Arts, and hospitalisation insurance.
