The purpose of this programme is to develop an artistic residency between Chillida Leku (Hauser & Wirth San Sebastian) and Tabakalera International Centre for Contemporary Culture, in San Sebastian, Spain.
This call is aimed at artists of any nationality who wish to explore new artistic contexts and develop an artistic investigation and creation project linked to art and the landscape.
The residency, which will take place over the course of eight weeks between 26 October and 20 December 2026, will offer a space, context and time for the development of the artistic project, at the Chillida Leku and Tabakalera facilities.
One proposal will be chosen from among all the projects submitted during the open call.
Support includes:
- Travel (up to 500 EUR for those outside San Sebastian)
- Accommodation
- Medical insurance (for non-Europeans)
- Work studio
- Access to sound and image editing resources
- Living expenses of 1,300 EUR per month (excluding taxes and withholdings)
- Up to 1,500 EUR (excluding taxes and withholdings) for production expenses
- Curatorial support
