The cultural centre Moving Station announces an open call for artists interested in becoming part of the programme for the festival of new theatre and performance NASTEVŘENO, taking place in Pilsen, Czech Republic from 14 to 18 May 2025.
The aim of the event is to revitalise the surroundings of Moving Station and the public spaces of the Jižní Předměstí district through performative events and spatial installations.
Moving Station is looking for creators in the fields of performative and visual arts, as well as those working in interdisciplinary areas, who engage with public space in their work. They are interested in projects that bring new impulses to the life of this locality (there are a number of themes outlined in the application form). Proposed projects can work with any form of cross-genre art and may be in various stages of development.
Moving Station values personal interaction and connection among artists, therefore the selection process will prioritise artists who are able to commit to being present for the entire duration of the festival.
Selected artists receive a fee of 3,000 CZK per person (up to 15,000 CZK per group), coverage of material, travel, and accommodation costs based on individual agreements. There is also curatorial and production support throughout the entire process and space for consultations and engagement with the local community.
