Cultivamos Cultura invites artists, designers, researchers and interdisciplinary creators to apply for Bom Dia OASis Residency.
OASis Bom Dia Residency (2027) is a site-responsive and community-oriented residency in São Luís, Portugal, exploring connections between artistic practice, ecology, local communities and sustainable futures.
The residency is looking for original, feasible and socially engaged projects across disciplines, particularly proposals working with local and/or natural materials, ecological themes, community engagement and collaborative practices.
Selected resident(s) will take part in a residency at Cultivamos Cultura and develop an artistic output to be presented to the local community and included in the OASis group exhibition in 2027.
This call is open to international creators / artists / researchers from various fields and disciplines, as well as practitioners and experts that operate at the intersection of culture and other disciplines. Applicants must state clearly on their application whether they are applying as a group or an individual. Groups may not exceed two persons with the understanding that the conditions and funding remain the same for a pair as for one individual.
The team of Cultivamos Cultura will provide occasional support to the project, but it is expected that the selected resident(s) is (are) reasonably autonomous in executing and producing all phases of the project, which will be evaluated based on their portfolio from recent years.
This residency includes:
- A limited budget for travel of up to 500 EUR
- Accommodation and a shared kitchen
- A project fee of 1,300 EUR
- Equitable per diem for food
- Production/material expenses up to a maximum of 1,600 EUR
- Free access to all spaces and resources of Cultivamos Cultura
- Access to a workspace/studio
The call may close earlier if 100 applications are received.
