The Professional College of Arts and Tourism will be holding ‘Gasshuku 20’, an international art camp for the next generation of cultural talent from Asia, as part of its international theatre talent development programme, PiT (Programme for Intercultural Theatre). The camp is from 17 to 24 July 2026 in Naishiki, Toyooka City, Hyogo Prefecture, Japan.
Gasshuku 20 is an international residential programme in which approximately 20 participants from Japan and abroad live and learn together in a shared environment. In addition to lectures, workshops, and activities, the programme places importance on participants also acting as givers; sharing their own knowledge, skills, and questions with others.
Through dialogue and experimentation that emerge from communal living, participants deepen their relationships and mutual understanding. These experiences are not merely the acquisition of information, but are cultivated as a process that leads to practice.
This programme aims to serve as a starting point for future cultural practitioners, fostering long-term international connections that continue beyond the programme itself.
Eligibility includes:
