EU-funded project CYCLE UP! has published ‘Sustaining Creativity: The honest guide to sustainable residencies’, a practical toolkit for artist residencies wanting to work more sustainably.
The Sustainable Residency Guidelines aim to support cultural and artistic residencies in navigating the complex terrain of sustainability. The main objective is to offer existing practical solutions and resources in a cohesive and accessible format – tools that residencies can adapt to their own unique contexts.
It covers real experiences and ideas for:

- Building lasting partnerships
- Supporting artist wellbeing
- Maintaining financial viability
Born from the CYCLE UP! project, this guide brings together lessons from residencies worldwide. It recognises that progress beats perfection, especially when working with limited resources.
