    Kulturweit Tandem to Develop Projects Exploring the History of Colonialism
    In the kulturweit Tandem project, two participants – one from an African country and one from Germany – reappraise the history of colonialism and its effects on the present. Together you develop anti-racism projects that you can implement in theatres, museums and schools, in charities, initiatives or companies in Germany. The first round of the programme will take place between September 2022 and February 2023. You can apply if you live in Germany, Ghana, Cameroon, Kenya, Namibia or Togo.

  • Akademie Schloss Solitude > New Residency Programme in Namibia for Artists from Germany
    Akademie Schloss Solitude together with the National Art Gallery of Namibia and the Goethe-Institut Namibia is establishing a new residency programme that will be committed to a long-term artistic and cultural exchange between Namibia and Germany. Applications are open for artists from Germany working across the fields of visual arts, literature/journalism, and digital practices. The organisers especially welcome applications from Black persons and/or persons of African descent living in Germany. The residency will last four months, running 1 November 2020 - 28 February 2021. Deadline: 27 June 2020.
