The Goethe-Institut invites the festival organizers in West Africa, to apply for grants under the project ‘Africa-Europe Partnerships for Culture: West Africa’.

This assignment relates to the West Africa Fusion Artist Residency, a high-impact programme designed to foster creative collaboration, cultural dialogue and professional development among artists from Ghana and other West African countries.

Gëestu / Giss is an artist/craft residency located within a spiritual community on the edge of the desert in Senegal. It is aimed at artists wishing to ground their practice in a local context, engaging with traditional skills such as dyeing, embroidery, basketry, and working with cotton, leather, and metal.

The Rele Arts Foundation introduces The R2 Space, a visual arts residency programme for mid-career ( ages 35 and upwards) African and diaspora artists. The residency will be open to artists of various disciplines and backgrounds as well as to curators, art writers and researchers.

Library Of Africa and The African Diaspora (LOATAD), in collaboration with the Harambee Organisation of Black Unity (UK), invites applications from writers and visual artists across West Africa for a landmark creative residency.

From 11 to 16 March 2026, the Centre national de la musique (CNM) and the French Embassy in Côte d’Ivoire will collaborate with the Ghanaian–British company rain.Labs to organise five days of songwriting sessions bringing together French and West African talent in Accra, Ghana.

Hub Festival Grants selects six major West African festivals to become regional leaders, each anchoring a transnational cluster in different cultural sectors. Hub festivals will develop and implement internationalisation strategies while supporting smaller festivals across the region to grow their international reach.
