The Regional Department for Cultural affairs of the Île-de-France region, the TRAM network, and the Cité internationale des arts have developed Contours, a research-based residency programme aimed at curators and/or art critics working and residing outside of France and its overseas departments, within the European Union

This programme brings together ten artists – from the fields of visual arts and performance, music and sound research, performing arts, design, writing, architecture and urbanism, curating and art criticism – for a period of six months, in Paris and on the marais site of the Cité internationale des arts

The Art Explora foundation, in collaboration with the Cité internationale des arts, welcomes every year about 20 residents, artists and researchers from all over the world. The programme offers the possibility for artists and artist collectives to carry out research and creation work in the heart of Paris, in connection with the French artistic and professional scene.

Daniel et Nina Carasso foundation and Cité internationale des arts are calling for applications from Europe-based artists for the In situ multidisciplinary residency programmme, from 3 October 2024 to 27 March 2025.

Solo residencies (6 months) for artists and duo residencies for artists and researchers (3 months) are available for various dates in 2023/2024.

The European Investment Bank (EIB) Institute is pleased to announce the 2022 edition of its Artists Development Programme (ADP) in collaboration with Cité internationale des arts (Paris), for which it is looking for two visual artists (born after 1 January 1987) from Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Luxembourg, Portugal or Romania. The residency in Paris will take place from 2 September until 28 November 2022.

The ‘Centre national de la danse x Cité internationale des arts Residency’ is dedicated to choreographers or curators/programmers of performing arts residing outside French territories. The residency lasts for three months from 2 May – 29 July 2022. Applicants should be between 25-35 years old and be able to provide proof of professional artistic activity for at least three years.

The MEP – Collection Gervanne + Matthias Leridon Collection - Cité internationale des arts Residency is a new residency programme for emerging artists, dedicated to African photography. A three-month artistic residency is offered from 3 January – 28 March 2022. Applicants should be nationals or residents of an African country between 18 and 40 years old.
