The Art Explora — Cité internationale des arts open call invites artists, researchers and curators of all nationalities to apply for the 2026 residency programme in Paris.

Organised by the Art Explora Foundation in partnership with the Cité internationale des arts, the programme invites projects that explore the links between art and science, scientific and technological exploration, and contemporary social and environmental issues.

Two residency programmes are available:

  • SOLO programme: open to artists only, for 3- or 6-month residencies during two sessions: March–August 2026 and September 2026–February 2027.
  • COLLECTIVE Programme: open to collectives or duos of artists, researchers and curators, for a 3-month residency during 4 sessions: March-May 2026 / June-August 2026 / September-November 2026 / December 2026-February 2027.

The programmes are open to artists and collectives of artists, researchers and curators of all nationalities, with no age limit. Applicants must demonstrate at least five years of professional activity and have presented their work or research at an international scale. Eligible artistic disciplines explicitly include visual arts, performing arts, digital arts, art criticism and curating.

Each successful resident receives a furnished studio-apartment, a living grant of 1,000 EUR per month, a production grant of up to 3,000 EUR (thanks to a new joint residency programme with Lafayette Anticipations – Fondation d’entreprise Galeries Lafayette) and a round-trip to the residence.
