Cove Park’s year-round residency programme welcomes local, national, and international artists, creative practitioners, and researchers. The fully funded Awarded Residencies are due to be programmed between May 2027 and December 2028 and can be for as short a time as two weeks or up to three months in duration. Artists, creative practitioners, writers and researchers working in all art forms and at every career stage are welcome to apply.
The Awarded Residencies will be offered to individuals and collaborators who urgently require the time, care, financial support, and facilities offered to develop their creative practice. A final presentation or participation in a public event is not a requirement, but Cove Park aims to support those who wish to work within and contribute to a community of residents, and to benefit from the experience of working alongside others engaged in a wide range of specialisms.
For 2027 and 2028, these residencies are open to individuals, collectives, and collaborative groups based in Scotland and the UK and in Central and South America. Artists from the Central and Sound American diaspora based in Europe and North America are also welcome to apply. People born in Scotland, but living elsewhere in the world, may also apply.
The appointed residents will receive a fee (775 GBP per week), funding for travel (65–1,250 GBP), and, when required, for materials (up to 150 GBP), access support, and the visa application process.
There is also an Application Access Bursary. This funding is for those who experience barriers to the application process due to disability and neurodivergence. This funding can be used to pay a support worker to help with the process (requests to be made by 30 November 2026).
