Culture Helps Solidarity/Культура допомагає Project and Collaboration Grants Round 1

Title of the call in English and Ukrainian on a coloured background.

Culture Helps Solidarity supports arts and culture professionals from Ukraine to sustain creativity, resilience, and community connection during and after the war. Running until 2028, the programme combines three grant schemes – individual grants, thematic project grants, and collaboration grants – with a programme of mentoring, learning, and peer exchange. It is co-financed by the EU through the Creative Europe programme and implemented by the European Cultural Foundation (Amsterdam) with Insha Osvita (Kyiv), zusa (Berlin), and the VETERANKA Movement (Kyiv).

Project Grants

This call supports cultural and artistic initiatives that respond to the changing landscape of community (dis-)connection. The organisers invite projects that help people navigate the social and emotional complexities of displacement, transition, and return by creating meaningful encounters, enabling shared cultural participation, and fostering renewed forms of solidarity. At least 60 Project Grants will be awarded across four thematic calls, with a minimum of 15 projects supported in this first round.

The project timeline may be up to 6 months. Activities related to the project may not take place before 1 July 2026.

Grant amount: up to 7,000 EUR for a large variety of costs including travel.

Collaboration Grants

This call for proposals seeks to support collaborative projects between at least two organisations in Ukraine and Creative Europe countries respectively, that work with culture to improve access to cultural participation and support the integration of internally displaced persons (IDPs) and refugees into their host communities, with particular attention to vulnerable groups such as veterans, and their mental well-being. This open call is the first of two calls for proposals for collaboration grants. At least 15 international projects will be awarded in each round.

The project timeline may be up to 12 months. Activities related to the project may not take place before 1 June 2026.

The Fund has grants available in two amounts: up to 20,000 EUR for partnerships of two organisations; and up to 30,000 EUR for partnerships of three or more organisations. Grants can cover a large variety of costs including travel.
