Ettijahat: Grants Officer Job (Belgium)

Ettijahat – Independent Culture is calling for applications from Belgium-based professionals for the position of Grants Officer, a one-year consultation, to start in February 2025, with possibility of extension.

The job focuses on the internal development of the organisation in several respects, most notably its fundraising strategy, monitoring and evaluation infrastructures and human resource management.

The successful candidate will be an experienced professional with demonstrable dedication to art and culture and/or non-profit work. They will be proactive, work well independently and with members of the team and they will be able and willing to divide their attention between multiple responsibilities at once. The successful candidate will have a keen eye for detail, strong critical thinking skills and excellent persuasive writing skills in English. As a key representative of Ettijahat, they will also possess strong interpersonal skills and a positive attitude.

Candidate profile

  • Excellent interpersonal skills, making positive relationships with diverse internal and external stakeholders.
  • Excellent English language writing and editing skills.
  • Excellent desk research skills and ability to analyse and synthesise information.
  • Proven experience writing detailed project plans and proposals. Experience in sophisticated grant applications with Belgian cultural sector and the European Union is desirable.
  • Comfortable leading on their own work and working alone.
  • Very good organisational and time management skills, proactive, self-motivated.
  • Extremely organised and reliable.
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines.

The location of the work is Brussels, Belgium, and work is mostly online. The renumeration is 2,200 EUR – 2,500 EUR monthly (tax excluded) for a 30-hour work week, plus full travel expense coverage.
