Dance and movement arts professionals based in Spain and/or Portugal are invited to submit their projects for the selection of 11 artistic and/or research residencies (technical residencies are excluded) to be carried out between April and November 2025 (six of them in Lugo of which three will be for applicants aged 30 and under and five on an exchange basis with structures in Spain, Portugal and Costa Rica).
The project seeks to promote and support creation and research in dance and movement arts by Galician, national and international companies, providing a space for creative and research residencies in order to disseminate and bring the processes of creation in dance and movement arts closer to the public. It aims to generate collaboration and networking of national and international professional agents through the exchange of artists and company information.
Atopémonos Bailando is a programme of artistic and research residencies co-organised by the dance company Colectivo Glovo and the Department of Culture, Tourism and Language of the City Council of Lugo, with the support of the Xunta de Galicia through Agadic, aimed at dance and movement arts creators from Galicia, the rest of Spain, Portugal and Costa Rica, and held at the MIHL Museum in the city of Lugo.
Dates:
- Residences in Lugo: 5 to 10 days (April - November 2025)
- Residency in exchange with Costa Rica - Taller Nacional de Danza: 15 days (October - November 2025)
- Residence in exchange with Portugal - Teatro Experimental Flaviense - Cine-Teatro Bento Martins - Chaves: 7 days (April - November 2025)
- Residence in exchange with Portugal - 32nd Quinzena de Dança de Almada: 7 days (26 September - 5 October 2025)
- Residence in exchange with Portugal - teatromosca (AMAS, Sintra): 6 days (7-12 September 2025)
- Residence in exchange with Donostia-San Sebastián – LABO XL Festival: 7 days (6-13 November 2025)
The organisers provide the following:
- Audiovisual record of the residency
- Remuneration: Between 700 EUR and 2,000 EUR (VAT included) per residency.
- For the exchange with Costa Rica - Taller Nacional de Danza, air tickets to Costa Rica will be arranged and provided, as well as their transfers, accommodation and meals for the duration of the residency.
- For the exchanges with Portugal - Teatro Experimental Flaviense de Chaves, 33. Quinzena de Dança de Almada and teatromosca (AMAS - Sintra) the organisers will manage and provide the expenses corresponding to accommodation and board for the duration of the residency.
