Visual Voices invites applications for the Nicosia Monastery of Arts Residency Programme (in Nicosia, Cyprus) for artists working at the intersection of art, sustainability, and community life. The residency offers space for site-specific artistic experimentation, community engagement, and public showcases.
The aim of the residency is to foster an artist-led regeneration of the Walled City of Nicosia, with a focus on practices relevant to post-conflict contexts. The duration of the residency is from February to July 2027 (6 months) and two artists will be selected.
The MON-ART project is co-funded by the Creative Europe programme of the European Union.
Artist Fee is 6,000 EUR per artist. Shared accommodation, production costs (1,400 EUR), and travel (600–1,000 EUR) are covered by the programme.
