Lee Ufan Arles/Maison Guerlain: Art and Environment Prize Residency and Exhibition 2027 (France)

Title of the call with an exhibition space with balancing stones and wood.

Lee Ufan Arles and Maison Guerlain have joined forces to create the Art & Environment Prize, awarded each year to a work of universal scope whose philosophical depth echoes that of Lee Ufan.

Upon winning the prize, the winner will benefit from a six-to-eight-week support programme with Lee Ufan Arles, and a unique production space at the heart of Arles. This space-time will enable the artist to carry out their artistic project, but also to meet the people and institutions relevant to its implementation: artists, art world professionals and local players who could resonate with their work, as well as the public. Lee Ufan Arles and Guerlain intend to support the winner of the prize in their work by increasing the number of encounters with international and local artists, curators and stakeholders.

The residency will be followed by a summer exhibition of the artist’s work at Lee Ufan Arles’ Atelier MA.

Depending on the availability of the winning artist, the residency will take place between January and March 2027. The exhibition will run from July to the end of September 2027.

The Art & Environment Prize is open to all artists, regardless of artistic practice, age,

The artist in residence will receive a grant of 2,000 EUR per month and accommodation for a person or a couple. A production budget is allocated to the exhibition. This global envelope is allocated according to the artist’s needs during the residency and in agreement with the residency coordination team. The winning artist will also receive an exhibition fee of 2,000 EUR.
