Up Grants 2026 will explore how socio-cultural centres nurture democracy by promoting participation and stimulating creativity and collective action.

Lights On is ENCC – European Network of Cultural Centres’ flagship training and work exchange programme for culture professionals under 35. It involves a five-day immersive training followed by a period of work exchange in a partner organisation.

The European Network of Cultural Centres (ENCC) is now looking for a motivated part time policy and advocacy officer, ideally starting from January 2025.

In this edition of Up Grants, ENCC is seeking to support socio-cultural centres (and other cultural organisations with a strong community focus) that are running or planning to launch impactful projects that promote inclusion. The programme will boost a culture centre’s initiatives by enhancing their impact and increasing their visibility.

ENCC are recruiting a part-time Junior Researcher as part of the 3-year project ‘Culture is everybody: socio-cultural centres as catalysts of change for an inclusive and sustainable Europe’. The position will be based in Brussels from September 2023 to May 2024.

Lights On is a funded programme for young professionals under 35, working in cultural centres and other cultural organisations in Europe. It is a capacity building and process-oriented programme that unfolds over about 8 months. During this period, you should plan to be absent from work for about 12 days.

The ENCC is looking for a full-time project officer, ideally starting from November 2022. ENCC are searching for a dynamic person, motivated to join an international team based in Brussels.

ENCC - European Network of Cultural Centres is reintroducing its UP Grants, a microgrant scheme open to all socio-cultural centres throughout Europe. It has two main strands: ‘Awareness and pattern change/mindshift: art and culture can shape how people think and influence their behaviours, also in relation to sustainability’ and ‘Footprint of culture: how can we be more sustainable?’. The scheme aims to support initiatives already in place, in order to boost them, provide visibility, and inspire others.

The ENCC’s flagship staff exchange, training and mentoring programme for young culture professionals has changed names from BECC (Bridge between European Cultural Centres) to Lights On. The programme offers participants an international work experience and a European perspective, and helps them acquire new competences and skills that are crucial for their work with their audience and the broader community.

ENCC – European Network of Cultural Centres and the European Association of Service providers for Persons with Disabilities has launched a survey on Cultural Centres and Disability. The survey is aimed at arts and culture organisations such as cultural centres, community centres, other arts and culture organisations, arts education providers, etc. as well as disability service providers such as daycare centres, NGOs, and educational institutions for persons with disabilities.
