ENCC: Junior Researcher for ‘Culture is Everybody’ Project (Belgium)

As part of the 3-year project ‘Culture is everybody: socio-cultural centres as catalysts of change for an inclusive and sustainable Europe’, co-financed by the Creative Europe Programme (network strand), ENCC will conduct qualitative research on the roles and contributions of socio-cultural centres to the transition of our society towards a more sustainable future (environmentally, socially and economically).

To support the development of the research, ENCC are recruiting a Junior Researcher. They are looking for a dynamic and motivated person to join their international team based in Brussels from September 2023 to May 2024.

The selected person will mainly be responsible for the following tasks:

  • Finding, reading, analysing and summarising literature (reports, scientific papers, empirical studies, policy statements etc.) including data and trend analysis.
  • Conducting semi-structured interviews, including interview organisation, briefing preparation and note taking.
  • Participating in the organisation and facilitation of workshops and focus groups.
  • Co-writing a research report.
  • Any other research tasks that will emerge during research development.

Additionally, the person will also be asked to attend staff meetings and to contribute to the implementation and development of the ENCC CUBE project and ENCC Strategic Plan 2021-25, if needed.

ENCC offer a 9-month part-time position, based in Brussels, Belgium. There is the possibility to implement some tasks working from home. The position has an overall gross compensation of 15,000 euro (VAT included).

Due to restrictions posed by funding regulations ENCC can only accept applications from residents within an EU country.
