Moving Balkans is calling for applications from professionals from the contemporary dance field for a residential workshop in Sofia, Bulgaria, from 24–29 June 2026.

The Elizabeth Kostova Foundation invites applications for the fourth edition of Women in the Mountains — a residency for women writers from Bulgaria and other countries in Europe, to be held in the mountain town of Chepelare, Bulgaria, from 1 to 10 August 2026.

This residency (19 January to 7 February 2026) is a platform for international exchange, peer learning, and collaborative growth for Female identifying photographers from Bulgaria, Germany, Hungary and Tamil Nadu (India). The residency takes place in Sofia, Bulgaria, Budapest (Hungary), or Chennai (India).

Bridging Balkan Borders is calling for applications from songwriters and producers from Southeast Europe to apply for an opportunity to collaborate with regional peers and mentors in Sofia, Bulgaria, during the SoAlive Music Conference 2025.

One local artist will be selected for joint research and production residency at each of the partner spaces. The residency programme lasts for six months between June and December 2025.

Teatroskop invites cultural and artistic organisations to apply for its 2025 Call for Projects, which supports the development of contemporary performing arts collaborations between France and South-East Europe. This call encompasses cooperation, distribution, capacity building, and networking. The project must be completed before 31 December 2025.

Bridging Balkan Borders is calling from applications from songwriters for one of their Songwriting Camps in January and February 2025.

The Theatre in Palm partner countries will organise 12 local residencies for emerging artists in 2024. Each of the 12 partner countries will host five emerging artists for two weeks in their local venues.

Operated by the International Elias Canetti Society and funded by the Danube Rectors’ Conference, the Canetti Artist Scholarship is aimed at artists from all over Europe who want to undertake a one-month scholarship in the spring/summer of 2024 in Ruse, Bulgaria. The slogan of the scholarship ‘Sharing Future’ aims at a collaborative creation and cooperation for a joint Europe and a common future.
