Teatroskop invites cultural and artistic organisations to apply for its 2025 Call for Projects, which supports the development of contemporary performing arts collaborations between France and South-East Europe. This call encompasses cooperation, distribution, capacity building, and networking. The project must be completed before 31 December 2025.
Initiated in 2011 by the French institute in Paris, the French Ministry of Culture and the French Ministry of European and Foreign Affairs, Teatroskop is a programme designed to boost the cooperation between France and South-East Europe in the field of performing arts in its most contemporary and audacious forms.
Eligible candidates are cultural or artistic organisations (organisations, institutions, venues, educational facilities, etc.) working in the field of performing arts and developing joint projects with France-based artists (companies, professionals, organisations, institutions, venues, educational facilities, etc). Projects must involve at least one organisation from France and two partner organisations from two eligible South-East European countries (Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Greece, Hungary, Kosovo, Northern Macedonia, Montenegro, Romania, Serbia, Slovenia, and Turkey).
Eligible disciplines are contemporary dance, contemporary circus, puppetry, art in public spaces, and performances designed for audiences of all ages.
Priority is given to inclusive initiatives led by female authors, artists from diverse backgrounds, and artists with disabilities; environmentally sustainable approaches, including reduced flights and alternative transport; and decentralisation and fostering regional collaborations.
The grant covers up to 50% of the total project budget (maximum 6,000 EUR) and can cover various types of project costs, including expenses for artistic fees, transport, accommodation, and/or mediation activities.
