The City of Lublin is inviting applications to a four-week artistic residency in Lublin, Poland, through CreArt 3.0. Two artists will be selected: one local (from Lublin) and one from the broader CreArt network. Residency dates are from 5 November to 6 December 2025.
Hosted by the City of Lublin and its institution Warsztaty Kultury, this AiR programme is part of CreArt 3.0. Lublin is presented as a crossroads of Eastern and Western culture, with a strong cultural infrastructure and active public festivals. The organisers seek to support projects that are site-specific, connected to public space, temporary and that open new ways of experiencing the city and its surroundings.
In the final week of the residency artists will put together a small exhibition, open studio or performance. A mentor will be provided for each artist to help with integration in the city, presenting the project to the local artistic community, and developing the final presentation.
Open to individual artists (collectives will not be accepted) born or residing in one of the CreArt partner cities: Kaunas, Liepaja, Skopje, Aveiro, Valladolid, Lublin, Venice, Clermont-Ferrand, Rouen, Regensburg, České Budějovice, Oulu. Also members of HDLU (Croatian Association of Visual Artists), and Ukrainian artists via the collaboration with Lviv Artistic Council ‘Dialogue’.
Any artistic discipline is eligible (visual arts, music, literature, theatre, dance, performance, interdisciplinary). A university degree in art or documented artistic achievements demonstrating equivalent competences are required. This is open for individuals only.
Artists will receive an artist fee of 700 EUR gross, and up to 500 EUR gross for production costs if needed. Travel expenses, accommodation, and meals are covered.
