The Chalet du Parc, in partnership with Maison Gutenberg, is launching an open call for its artistic residency programme. For its first edition, the programme will host three creative residencies taking place within a unique cultural and natural environment in Lyon.
Located in the Parc de la Tête d’Or, the Chalet du Parc is conceived as a living space dedicated to encounters, discovery and shared experiences. The organisers aim to develop a ‘creative ecosystem’ and a laboratory for experimentation, fostering new narratives, aesthetics and practices that are more respectful of the environment.
The Chalet du Parc artist residencies place a central emphasis on cultural mediation. Artists in residence will be required to participate in public engagement sessions. Each residency concludes with a public presentation, in the form of a one-month exhibition presented in the residency space, designed as a place for both creation and display.
Residency dates:
- Residency 1: 7 September to 3 December 2026
- Residency 2: 11 January to 18 March 2027
- Residency 3: 25 April 1 July 2027
Residencies are open to French and international artists. All disciplines of visual and plastic arts are welcome. Emerging artists are particularly encouraged to apply. Collectives may apply (the budget will remain the same).
The artist residency includes:
- Research and creation fees of 3,300 EUR (including VAT) per residency.
- A production grant of 2,400 EUR (including VAT).
- The installation costs for the final exhibition at the end of the residency are covered by the organisation.
- A studio and curatorial, artistic, and technical support.
