With support from St Paul’s Cathedral and The Irma Pastrana Borrero Foundation for Humanity’s Peace and Development (The Pastrana Foundation), Delfina Foundation welcomes applications from contemporary visual artists based in Latin America and the Caribbean for a residency in London.
The selected artist will be a part of Delfina’s winter 2027 residency season, which runs from 5 January – 28 March 2027.
Throughout the residency season, the selected artist will also be ‘in residence’ at St Paul’s Cathedral and, with practical support from both the Delfina Foundation team and the St Paul’s Cathedral team, will use the residency to explore the relationship between space and spirituality, in the context of their own practice, and of the Cathedral and the UK as places that welcome people of all faiths and none. People of all beliefs are welcome to apply.
Applicants must be living and working in Latin America or the Caribbean. Those who have not previously lived or participated in residency programmes in the UK will be prioritised. Applicants must also be able to demonstrate their interest in the relationship between space and spirituality through previous projects, and the relevance of their practice to a residency within the context of St Paul’s Cathedral.
The programme offer a twelve-week residency at Delfina Foundation, including:
- A return economy-class flight
- Airport transfers in the UK
- Reimbursement of visa fees (if required)
- A living allowance of 40 GBP per day
- A materials budget of 1,000 GBP
