The International Solo Dance Theatre Festival Stuttgart announces its open call for the 30th edition, 12–15 March 2026.
Centred on the theme ‘Solo performance in contemporary dialogue’, the festival provides a stage for choreographers and dancers from around the world to present independent solo works. It is organised by the festival’s curatorial board together with the VHS Stuttgart and supported by local cultural institutions.
The call targets choreographers who wish to submit a new solo piece—either a premiere or a work no older than one year—for the festival in March 2026, and dancers who will perform it. The opportunity nurtures artistic innovation, fosters exchange between emerging and established creators, and amplifies the visibility of contemporary dance language.
